Enter Robert Pattison’s The Batman, a movie we’ve been talking about for so long that it’s wild to think that it actually comes out in March! Speaking ahead of the film’s release, Pattinson told GQ that after watching a rough cut of the movie, he thinks “the first shot is so jarring from any other Batman movie that it’s just kind of a totally different pace.” He then points out that director Matt Reeves wanted the entire feeling of the film to be like “a ’70s noir detective story.” Pattinson says this also isn’t just a mood, but rather, insists that The Batman IS a detective story. Regardless of how dark Pattinson’s Batman becomes in this film, the idea that this movie will actually be about a detective solving mysteries is exciting. Batman himself first appeared in “Detective Comics,” making the notion of a super-sleuth caped crusader not only edgy but also, classic. Here’s hoping all of Pattinson’s promises come true. The Batman hits theaters on March 4, 2022.
