Sponge on the Run, the first-ever all CGI SpongeBob movie, finds Gary “snailnapped,” which prompts SpongeBob, Patrick and the gang to embark on a rescue mission and save their friend from the clutches of the powerful King Poseidon, who’s holding Gary captive in the Lost City of… Atlantic City. In addition to flashbacks exploring how SpongeBob met his pals, fans will hear all their familiar favorite voiceover actors, including Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Mr. Lawrence, Jill Talley, and Carolyn Lawrence, as well as guest stars Awkwafina, Tiffany Haddish (voicing Tiffany Haddock!!), Matt Berry and Reggie Watts. The just-released trailer also reveals that Keanu Reeves, Snoop Dogg and Danny Trejo will turn up in live-action sequences. As for Kamp Koral: SpongeBob Under Years, Nickelodeon’s first-ever SpongeBob spinoff is a CG-animated prequel series that follows 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends during summer sleepaway camp, where they happily pass the hours lighting underwater campfires, snagging wild jellyfish, and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck. The cast includes franchise stalwarts Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence, and Mr. Lawrence. Newcomers include Carlos Alazraqui and Kate Higgins, who respectively voice Nobby and Narlene, narwhal siblings who live in the woods surrounding the camp.Paramount+ will stream Kamp Koral’s initial six episodes starting on March 4.
