But the appointment as Jeopardy! host was always meant to be temporary, and now, we finally know when Jennings will step down as temporary host and who is going to replace him when he gives up his day-time spot (at least for now.) After Ken Jennings steps down on February 19th, he will be replaced as planned by the executive producer of Jeopardy! Named Mike Richards. It’s not clear how long Richards will hold the position of the guest host but either way, but we know who will be next after Richards takes his leave....

Because while pretentious critics may scoff at the notion of a “kid’s movie sequel” winning Best Picture, this antiquated thinking ignores the fact that, in a weak year for film, Paddington 2 was the best and most important movie of 2018....

According to the popular website BabyNames.com, the name ‘Karen’ is losing popularity as a baby name, and fast. Baby Names Podcast co-host Jennifer Moss said this of the formerly hugely popular name: “In the past six months, we’ve had zero people adding it to their favorite name list [on the site]. Despite getting positive reviews from the critics, Cold Pursuit is a mess of a movie. It shifts tones several times with no explanation. There is a long stretch where Liam Neeson’s character is not even in the movie. And the abrupt ending feels like the writers just decided to stop halfway through and hope the audience wouldn’t notice. But while Cold Pursuit is by no means a great action movie, it is a great movie for parents, as it cleverly subverted the vigilante action dad trope while pointing out some harsh truths about what how so many parents focus on the wrong things and end up failing their kids and themselves....

In the absolute best scene in the movie, Will Sawyer (Dwayne ‘The Rock” Johnson), the movie’s one-legged protagonist, has to run across a crane that is hundreds of feet in the air and then freaking jump off of the crane to get into a burning building where his family are being held hostage. It’s an amazing scene, not only because it looks great, but because it means something, too....

And they have even more weird bedtime routines that we as parents do not question because hey, whatever it takes, am I right? A key part of that bedtime ritual is the night light.
