McGuire was caught trespassing at the park, (all of Disney’s properties have been closed due to COVID-19), after the Orange County, Florida sheriff’s deputy got a report of a trespasser on the long-abandoned island. The deputies launched an all-out search for the camper on foot, in boats, and from helicopters. They also tried to reach him by going on a PA system telling him he was trespassing. McGuire said he hadn’t heard the helicopters as he was asleep in a building on the island....

According to a BBC News report, a researcher posed as a 13-year-old girl and “witnessed grooming, sexual material, racist insults, and a rape threat” while engaged in the virtual-reality world in an app called VRChat. The app allows people to explore the virtual world using avatars and the game has a minimum age rating of 13. The researcher, who had registered to VRChat as 13-years-old but was never asked to verify her age, was reportedly able to visit virtual rooms where avatars were seen participating in R-rated activities....
