Previously, Verizon used FamilyBase as its parental control app. but, given the swelling need parents have for better control over kids’ technology, the telecommunications company updated it with new features. The new app retains many aspects of FamilyBase, including the ability to limit data and screen time, but adds several new features, including location services and the ability to monitor specific apps being used. According to The Verge, up to 10 family members can be signed up for Verizon Smart Family, giving parents the ability to keep tabs on all of their children....

Florida this week. As if 2020 wasn’t already stressful enough, some might lose some sleep knowing that monster alligators apparently exist, according to a new viral—and frankly apocalyptic—video. On Wednesday, Nov. 11, Tropical Storm Eta, which was briefly classified as a Category 1 Hurricane, created high winds off the coast of Tampa. While tropical storms are typically a cause of concern in their own right, Eta seemed to unearth something particularly unsetting: a truly giant, dinosaur-like alligator haunting a golf course that looked as if it time-traveled directly from the primordial soup....

But the duo, who somehow have 836,000 TikTok followers and 12.1 million likes on their mere three videos, has blown up on the platform after NFL teams and even the official NFL TikTok took notice of the short, but awesome video of the two kids.In the videos, the first of which was posted two days ago but has since gotten 8.3 million likes and been shared over 72,000 times, two boys in their backyard play a game of catch with the good old pigskin....

With the wheels for a favorable review already greased, Road to Perdition more than earned a place on my list of all-time favorite movies, with sensational acting by Hanks and pretty much everyone who appears on screen (Paul Newman! Jude Law! Stanley Tucci!), Academy Award-winning cinematography, and a beautifully heartbreaking score by Thomas Newman. Not only that, the film’s story serves as a poignant meditation on fatherhood. Rewatching the movie last weekend, and now a father myself (expecting a son, no less), the film’s exploration of the father-son dynamic struck me much more deeply....
