Kids use a remote control to steer this thing forward and backward or make it spin 360 degrees as it makes electronic droid sounds....

Of course, there is no scientific definition of the dad bod. That said, central to the description is belly fat or a “beer belly,” which indicates the presence of visceral fat around the organs. A waist circumference above 40 inches would be considered a beer belly, in men, and this is associated with increased mortality and heart disease. But dad bod is also typified by a lack of muscle definition....

What’s funny is that while the manufactures probably weren’t guessing that there would be an issue with the phone number, they did pick a pretty general and suggestive one. The number the dad dialed was simply 1(800) TOO-MUCH. Not to mention, the can is actually shaped like a milk carton and had a picture of a poop on the side with the words “Have You Seen Me?” printed underneath. The reasoning behind this? Well, after looking at decades of data, the Reddit user found that men named Terry tend to be the same age as women named Karen — and that the peaks of the use of both names for new babies peaked at the same time, which suggests that many Karen’s likely have peers among them who are Terry’s who thought that call to the cops because someone was drawing in chalk on the sidewalk was totally necessary, or whatever reason Karen’s call the police....

At least one D.C. school delayed opening by two hours today because of the unrest. The letter sent home to parents explaining the decision was posted by NPR reporter Hannah Allam, whose son attends the school, which is unknown — a fine thing considering kids and parents deserve privacy. A new study from the University of East Anglia, University of Greenwich, and Auckland University of Technology investigated how engaging in digital-free tourism impacted travelers’ experiences. The study polled participants as they travel without phones, laptops, tablets, the internet, social media, or navigation tools, and followed them through the emotional journey of life without screens. Among the findings, researchers noted that participants traveling as a couple, or in a group, tended to be more confident to disconnect than solo travelers....

At least one new study suggests fathers may be getting more action than screenwriters let on. And world-famous sex educator Dr. Laura Berman told Fatherly that it’s possible that some new parents are having more sex than childless couples, specifically to avoid embodying a cliche that may have been based on nothing in the first place. It’s a phenomenon we’ll call the “Parent Advantage” that occurs when making a child sets off a virtuous sexual cycle....
